Privacy Policy

The Possibility ("we," "us") is a wellness app created by Jim Curtis. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work and to improve, and we do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and, if you provide it, your name, so you can sign in and keep your progress across devices.
- Your activity. Sessions you play, favorites, streaks, daily check-ins and moods, and program progress, so the app can pick up where you left off and personalize what it suggests.
- Jim AI conversations. The messages you send to the Jim AI coach and its replies, so it can remember your context and respond helpfully. If you rate a reply with a thumbs up or down, we record that rating to improve the coach's responses.
- Purchase status. Whether you have an active subscription or book access. Payments are processed by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Diagnostics. Basic, aggregated usage and crash data to find and fix problems.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health (Settings → Apple Health inside the app), The Possibility can log your completed sessions as Mindful Minutes and display your Mindful Minutes inside the app. This data is exchanged only between the app and Apple Health on your device. We never transmit, store, or receive your Health data on our servers, and we never use it for analytics, advertising, or marketing. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app under Sharing → Apps.
How we use it
- To run the core features: sign-in, playback, progress, and cross-device sync.
- To personalize recommendations and the Jim AI coaching experience.
- To operate subscriptions and book-code access.
- To keep the app stable, secure, and improving.
We do not use your private conversations or check-ins to advertise to you, and we do not sell your data.
Who processes your data
We use trusted service providers strictly to run the app: a cloud backend for accounts, content, and sync; Apple for sign-in and payments; and third-party AI providers to power the Jim AI coach. These providers process data on our behalf under agreements that limit their use of it.
This website
On thepossibilityapp.com we measure how the pages are used so we can tell what is working: which pages people visit, roughly where in the world they are, and which links they follow to the App Store or the web app. We do this with our own counter, with Vercel Analytics, and with Google Analytics.
Advertising cookies are switched off on this site. We do not run ads, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not let Google use this data to personalize advertising, so no advertising cookie is written and there is nothing here to retarget you with. Google Analytics does set its own measurement cookie and records a shortened version of your IP address.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google's browser add-on, or by turning on your browser's own tracking protection. Nothing on this site is measured inside the app itself, and none of it is joined to your Jim AI conversations or your check-ins.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us.
- Delete your account at any time, which removes your associated personal data from our systems, subject to legal retention limits.
- Control notifications, microphone, and other permissions from iOS Settings.
Sensitive topics and safety
The Possibility is a coaching and self-development tool, not medical care, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you express thoughts of crisis or self-harm, the app surfaces immediate human resources, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line, before anything else.
Children
The Possibility is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will revise the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
