Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of The Possibility, a wellness app for iPhone, Android and the web by Jim Curtis ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to that download and purchase.
Not medical care
The Possibility is a coaching and self-development tool. It is not therapy, medical care, or a substitute for either, and it does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you are in crisis, contact a professional or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the U.S. Always consult a qualified provider before making health decisions.
Subscriptions
- Plans. Essentials is $14.95 per month. Premium is $24.95 per month or $214.99 per year. Prices are in U.S. dollars before tax, may vary by region, and are confirmed at checkout.
- Who bills you. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple takes the payment, collects any sales tax, sends the receipt, and decides refunds under its own policy (request one at reportaproblem.apple.com). We cannot cancel or refund App Store charges. Subscriptions bought in the Android app are sold and billed by Google through your Google account, and Google decides refunds under Google Play's own policy. We cannot cancel or refund Google Play charges. Subscriptions bought on our website (app.thepossibilityapp.com) are billed by us, and we handle cancellations and refunds for those.
- New subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial and pay nothing.
- Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you have not canceled. A yearly plan charges the full year at once.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime: iPhone subscriptions in your Apple settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions); Android subscriptions in the Google Play Store app (your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions); website subscriptions in the web app under You → Settings, or by emailing support@thepossibilityapp.com. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Unused portions of a free trial are forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
The Book Companion
Readers of The Book of Possibility, in any edition, unlock the Book Companion with their email address, in either app or at thepossibilityapp.com/book. No code is needed. Access is personal, lasts for the lifetime of your account, and is not a subscription: it does not renew or bill.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old (and old enough to consent to these terms where you live). Keep your credentials secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us, which removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Jim AI
Jim AI is an automated coaching assistant built on Jim Curtis's method and voice. Its responses are generated by artificial intelligence: they may be imperfect, and they are not professional advice. Personalized sessions it creates are for your personal use within the app.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app: no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling content, circumventing subscription gates or redemption codes, or using the service to harm others. Session audio, program content, and Jim's recordings are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial listening within the app, and remain our (or our licensors') intellectual property.
Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or harms the service, with any refund handled under Apple's policy for App Store purchases, Google Play's policy for Google Play purchases, and ours for website purchases.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is significant, we'll notify you in the app, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
